Beckem Michael Wagner is crawling

Posted by Picasa

I have the privilege of tending Beckem on Tuesdays
and Thursdays while Kilee works as a hygienist
at Thanksgiving Point Dental. Beckem has been trying
to crawl for the past week. He will be 9 months old on
January 30. Today he took off like lightening! Go Becks
go! When Kilee came home we could hardly believe it. He
took off crawling and pulled himself up to a bench I have
in our bedroom. He grinned all over, and was so proud.
We all clapped for him, but inside we felt like crying that
he was getting so grown up. Why can't they stay little?
Grandpa Mike says that Beckem is always happy. He always
wakes up smiling and happy. Thanks Tyler and Kilee for
sharing Beckem with us.

Kennadi Anne is rolling over

Our grand daughter Kennadi Anne Chatterton
just turned 4 months old on January 18. She is
now rolling over! We are so proud of the Princess.
We just want her to stay little though. She is so alert,
loves to sing and chatter, especially when she gets tired.
Annika and Kennadi came to visit us for a couple of days,
and we had a lot of fun. So glad we live as close as we do
so we don't miss out on the fun and memorable things.
Thanks Annika for allowing us to have such a great time
with you and Kennadi.

A Fun Christmas to Remember

Kilee and Tyler were kind this year and slept over
on Christmas Eve. Thanks so much for making our
Christmas so memorable. It was exciting to have you
and Beckem here when Santa arrived!

Jeff wearing his new hat with lights on the visor.
We got a laugh out of this gift, but the men
loved the gift.

Tyler sporting his new hat with lights on the visor.
Who knew this gift would be a hit?

Adorable Kilee was kind enough to ride with us to Hardware Ranch.
She and Beckem were enjoying watching Kilee Rae Part 1
on the DVD. Beckem loved watching his mom when she was a baby.
You are such a cute mom!

These darling girls are getting so grown up.
We love them so much.

Beautiful Annika in her new Christmas clothes.
You would never guess that she just had a baby 3
months ago.

Our dear friend Louann, Shar and Mike at a movie.
Thanks Louann for taking time to visit us this Christmas.
We love you and consider you part of our family.

After Christmas we went to Hardware Ranch in
Hyrum Canyon near Logan. It was beautiful! We
rode on a sleigh pulled by two Clydesdale horses
to see the Elk being fed. It was a very fun adventure.
Thanks Chatterton Family for having us.

More Christmas Memories

Each year Grandpa and Grandma Shelley give
the grand kids PJ'S on Christmas Eve. This year,
Santa showed up to deliver the gifts. What a fun
surprise.

This was Beckem Michael Wagner's First
Christmas. He is such a good baby, and he had
so much fun opening all the gifts. He got a lot of
fun toys.

More Christmas memories with my brother
Mike, his son Clint, his son Justin and his wife Jordan,
along with Tyler and Kilee and Beckem and Grandma
Taylor.

One proud grandpa with his grandchildren
Kennadi and Beckem. Grandpa can get them to sleep
pretty quickly. They love Grandpa Mike.

Beckem. Kailey got Beckem laughing so hard that all of us

Life Has Been a Bit Busy Lately

Life has been a bit busy around the Shelley household. It is so great to have these adorable grandchildren to love and to play with. They are the highlight of our lives, and who knew grand parenting would be this much fun? Mike and I are so grateful for our family. We count our blessings daily. We want to wish all of our friends, who visit our blog, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2009. Kilee made our Christmas card this year with her new digital scrap booking skills. Thank you Kilee for your willingness to help out. Annika and Kilee have taught me all that I know about the computer. It is nice to have such smart children that are willing to share their skills and talents. The older we get, the faster time flies. I seem to never get everything done that is on my list each day. I work slower and accomplish less. It is frustrating to me, but Mike tells me to smile at the things I do accomplish and to not get frustrated at the things I don't. He is still full of wisdom!
This past year has been a very challenging one with a lot of ups and downs. We lost our sister-in-law Reva to cancer in November. She was such a wonderful person, and we will miss her dearly. She taught us all a lot about enduring to the end. She set her goals and accomplished every one of them before she passed away. She was truly a Christ-like person. Our Uncle Ladd Simons also passed away the same day as Reva. He was such a wonderful man, and he also endured to the end with a lot of health problems. We will miss his personal homemade Christmas card this year. It is so great to believe in life after death, and to know that we can all be with our loved ones again.
Our year 2008 started out on a terrific note. The six of us went to Oahu, Hawaii for 10 days and stayed in a Condo in KoOlina. It was fun to take our son-in-laws and to rest and relax in such a beautiful place. We made some wonderful memories there that we will always cherish. Kilee got to show Tyler all the places that she hung out at while going to school there at BYU Hawaii. We did it all... luau, PCC, snorkeling, beach, Waikiki, went to a Hawaiian wedding, etc.
Tyler and Kilee had a baby boy, named Beckem Michael Wagner on April 30, 2008. He is such an adorable baby with a lot of personality and a big smile that melts your heart. I have the privilege of tending him on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week while Kilee keeps up on her dental hygiene work. Tyler is working at Xango in Lehi in their customer relations department, and going to UVU in the evenings. He and Kilee are such great parents. They both work hard, and purchased their first home, a condo, this year. Tyler did a lot of the painting and work on it, and it is so cute. Kilee is quite the decorator, and is way into using coupons to save money on their grocery bill. She has made it a new hobby to clip coupons.
Kennadi Anne Chatterton was born September 18, 2008 to Jeff and Annika. What a beautiful baby she is. She looks a bit like both of her big sisters, Bailey and Brinley. They are such good babysitters and such helpful BIG sisters. Kennadi loves to chat and is very photogenic. She wore her mom's blessing dress to be blessed in. What a fun memory for her. Bailey is now 8 years old, and Brinley is 6. They are good students and both love to read, do art work, and play webkins on the computer. It is always fun when they come to visit. Jeff and Annika do a great job balancing their family life. They are such great parents as well. Jeff is an Engineer at Icon in Logan, and Annika is a stay at home mom. She has always wanted to be a mom, and she is a terrific one. Jeff stays busy, after a hard day at work, remodeling their home. Jeff and his dad have done everything with the remodeling, and they just finished their basement, and it is a masterpiece! With the addition of two new grandchildren this year, our family has grown so much. I have always wanted a large family, so now my wishes are coming true. We are so blessed. This is my first post on our blog, so I had better not make it too long. I am excited to have a blog and hope to keep in touch with family and friends. Thanks Annika for setting up this blog for us. We will try and keep up on it. We do seem to keep life in the fast lane, and it is a good place to be!
